§ 01 · Right Cut, Right Time

Pruning that helps plants, not just shapes them.

Pruned wrong — or at the wrong time of year — shrubs and ornamentals can lose a season of blooms or take years to recover. Our crews trim with each species' growth cycle in mind, shaping plants to stay healthy and full, not just "cut back."

Available for residential beds and commercial landscaping — a core part of our Weekly Maintenance and Grounds Maintenance programs, or as a standalone service.

§ 02 · How We Approach It
01
Step One
Plant Assessment
We check growth patterns, health, and shape for every shrub, ornamental, and groundcover.
02
Step Two
Proper Timing
Pruned at the right time of year for each species — never a blanket schedule that stresses plants.
03
Step Three
Expert Trimming
Shaped to encourage healthy growth, not just cut back for size.
04
Step Four
Cleanup
All clippings removed — beds left clean, not covered in trimmings.
§ 03 · Common Questions

What property owners usually ask us.

When is the right time to prune my shrubs?
It depends on the species — spring-flowering shrubs are pruned right after they bloom, while many evergreens and summer-flowering plants are better pruned in late winter or early spring. We time every pruning visit to the specific plants on your property, not a single blanket schedule.
Will pruning hurt my plants or reduce flowering?
Pruned at the wrong time, yes — that’s the most common plant-health mistake homeowners run into. Pruned at the right time with proper technique, it encourages healthier, fuller growth and better flowering the following season.
Is this included in my regular maintenance visits?
Routine shaping is typically part of our Weekly Maintenance and Grounds Maintenance programs. Larger rejuvenation pruning or specialty ornamental work is available as a standalone service for properties not already on a maintenance plan.
What happens to the clippings?
Every clipping is removed from the property the same visit — beds are left clean, not covered in trimmings for you to deal with.
