These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of avalon-lc.com (the "Site") and any landscaping, hardscape, or construction services you request or book through it, whether by contact form, phone, or our online Shop. By using the Site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who We Are
Avalon Landscape Construction, LLC ("Avalon," "we," "us," or "our") is a licensed and insured landscape design, construction, and maintenance company serving Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties in Virginia, and licensed to operate in Maryland. Credentials: USDOT 2419957 · MHIC 114574. Licensed & Insured · VA + MD.
2. Estimates & Requests
Submitting the "Request Estimate" form, the Careers form, or calling/emailing us does not create a binding contract. A project or maintenance agreement is only formed once we provide a written proposal, estimate, or order confirmation that you accept, or — for our online Shop — once your booking is confirmed as described in Section 3 below.
3. Online Shop, Instant Pricing & Booking
Our online Shop lets you get an instant, property-specific price for select services and book them directly. Here is how it works, and what it means for you:
- Instant pricing is based on your address. We use mapping and parcel-data lookups to estimate your property's boundaries and lawn area. In rare cases (unusual lots, incomplete public parcel data, gated communities, etc.) the actual scope of work on site may differ from the online estimate; if so, we will contact you before proceeding with any additional charge.
- Payment processing is not handled by this Site. Checkout for any Shop booking is completed through our secure operations platform (Groundwork CRM) using Stripe as the payment processor. avalon-lc.com never receives or stores your card details, and it is not the system of record for your order or payment — see our Privacy Policy for details.
- A booking is confirmed once payment is confirmed by our operations platform, not merely upon submitting the checkout form. You will receive a booking confirmation once that payment is verified.
- Cancellations & rescheduling. Contact us at 571.418.0219 or contact@avalon-lc.com as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booked service. Refund and rescheduling eligibility depends on how close the request is to the scheduled service date and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Services not yet available online are marked "Coming Soon" in the Shop; for those, contact us directly for a quote.
4. Service Area
We primarily serve residential and commercial properties in Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties, Virginia, and are licensed to operate in Maryland. Services requested outside our normal service area may be declined or subject to additional travel charges, at our discretion.
5. Property Access & Site Conditions
You represent that you are authorized to request service at the property provided (as owner, tenant, or authorized representative) and that our crews will have reasonable access to perform the work. We are not responsible for delays caused by locked gates, unrestrained pets, obstructed access, or other site conditions outside our control. Please point out or mark any known underground utilities, irrigation lines, pet containment wiring, or fragile features before work begins where practical.
6. Weather & Scheduling
Landscaping, hardscape, and snow/ice services are weather-dependent. We may reschedule work due to rain, snow, extreme temperatures, or unsafe ground conditions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any schedule changes.
7. Warranties
Where a written warranty is provided for design-build or construction work (materials and/or workmanship), the specific terms and duration will be stated in your project proposal or contract. Routine maintenance services (mowing, cleanups, turf treatments, etc.) are not warrantied against natural variables such as weather, soil conditions, pests, or disease, which are outside our control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avalon's liability for any claim arising from services or use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Avalon is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here reduces the protection of any written warranty provided in a signed project contract.
9. Site Use
You agree to use avalon-lc.com only for lawful purposes — for example, requesting real estimates, real job applications, and real service bookings for your own property. We may suspend or block use of the Site's forms or Shop for suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or booking of services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
