§ 01 · Small Detail, Big Impact

Clean edges change everything.

Fresh mulch and a crisp bed edge is one of the fastest ways to elevate how a property looks — and it protects plant roots from temperature swings and moisture loss at the same time. We apply mulch at the right depth, away from trunks and stems, with a clean defined edge against turf.

Available as a one-time refresh or on a recurring schedule, for residential beds and commercial common areas alike.

§ 03 · Common Questions

What property owners usually ask us.

How often should mulch be refreshed?
Most Northern Virginia beds look and perform best with a fresh layer once a year, typically in spring. Some high-visibility commercial entrances add a second, lighter refresh in fall — we’ll recommend a schedule during your property walk.
What type of mulch do you use?
We typically use double-shredded hardwood mulch for its color retention and soil benefits, though we can match a specific type or color on request for properties with an established look to maintain.
Will mulch be piled against my trees and shrubs?
No — piling mulch against trunks and stems ("mulch volcanoes") traps moisture and invites rot and pests. We apply mulch at a consistent, proper depth with a gap left around every trunk and stem.
Can you fix bed edges that have grown out or disappeared?
Yes, re-cutting a clean, defined edge against turf and hardscape is part of every mulching visit, not an add-on — overgrown or lost edges are restored as standard practice.
